Changing HEX format in MPLAB ver 8.883 is possible?

I brought back to service an old programmer binned when still in working condition.

It does not recognize the hex files from MPLAB 8.83. I assembled old code and compared the new and old HEX files; there are differences. I can see them clearly with WinMerge.

Old HEX files come from several different MPLAB (unknown) versions. I recall deciding on the desired HEX format in the past.

How to do in MPLAB 8.83? Help section did not shed light on this.

I need to please this programer to complete my design until Santa brings a new one.

Reccomendations to read about the Intel format would be a temptation. But I want to deal with MPLAB. So, please...

In 8.66 it's under Project/Build Options/MPASM Assembler/Catagories/Output - then there are the three standard options available.

Problem solved

Solved through the Linker menu.
