can someone tell me what should i know before doing any robotics course?

hi,
i am in b-tech 2nd year and i want to know whether i can do robotics course or not.whether it will be fruitful or not.
my branch is electronics & communication. what should i learn before so that i can study robotics and understand it well.
pls help me .

I suggest you look at the syllabus for the course you're considering taking, it's hard for anyone here to tell just from knowing its a robotics course.
