crutschow Well-Known Member Most Helpful Member Sep 23, 2010 #2 Because you have the ammeter in parallel with the fuse, which is shorting out the current. The ammeter needs to be in series with the fuse. The rule is voltmeters connect in parallel, ammeters connect in series.
