Hi,
I intend to do a small project with a Brushless DC motor. I enquired abt it a bit. I heard that to control it an Electronic Speed Controller is used. I asked an RC airplane enthusiast friend of mine and he told me that an ESC has three terminals, out of which two are connected to the battery and one is connected to a receiver unit. I'd like to control the BLDC with an 8051 microcontroller. Should I connect the third terminal to a port pin of the 8051? And if yes, What kind of signal should I pass to the third terminal? PWM pulses?
Regards,
Mohamed
