hi all

I am using an LM629 for DC motor PID servo control . The **broken link removed** says that it is necessary to send two bytes of data , the lower byte and higher byte . How is this done with only 8 data lines (PC parallel port). A source tells me that we must send the LB first and then the HB through the same 8 lines.

1 . Is this true ??? .

2 .How long must the data (HB or LB) be available at the input ? .

3. what must be the delay in data transition between the LB and HB ?

4. What must be sent first HB or LB?

thanks.

You may have studied the programming guide, but if you read the datasheet for the LM628/629 it gives timing diagrams for reading and writing by the host CPU.

Hi all,
thanks Brown , but some fundamental doubts remain unanswered ? (LB or HB first, etc)

Thanks
Figures 6 and 7 in the datasheet show high byte first.
