hi,
are there situations where i need to use a bipolar capacitor specifically, i mean can i always use unipolar capacitor only.

AC Motor starting capacitors must be rated for AC. Similarly, Power Factor compensating capacitors.

Most DC blocking, AC coupling, Bypass, Filter capacitors can be polarized.

The capacitors in a loudspeaker crossover circuit must be bipolar because they pass AC, not DC.

Generally capacitors used in any signal filter circuits should be bipolar since they carry AC, and are also usually available in a tighter tolerance, which is desirable to keep the filter frequency close to the designed value.
