Biasing op amps in class A does it worth it?

I repair various consumer equipment, and while 'most' isn't correct, they aren't uncommon across a broad range of consumer devices. For example the ill fated Sharp CS TV chassis used them for the two audio amplifiers, and for the frame output stage.

Certainly I would say though, the most common application in consumer electronics by far is frame output stages.
