Hi again,

You asked if you could apply a negative voltage, and i said i dont think you can do that. I dont think you can do that because you'll change the biasing polarity. Just like a transistor collector base, if you forward bias the collector base it doesnt work as a transistor anymore.
But since im not 100 percent certain here if it would still work as an Mosfet or not, the simple answer it to try it. In spice it doesnt help but in a real device it could be different. I dont have any Mosfets with the body lead separate as most of them connect to the source.
Strangely enough, i do have a dual gate Mosfet from the early 1980's
