Automatic Voltage Contoller request

Hello all!

I was wondering if anyone had a circuit for an automatic voltage controller where pressing a button (or flicking a switch) would slowly increase the voltage up to 12 volts. Pressing the button (or flicking the switch) would then drop down the voltage again.

I live in Australia so if you can, could you also list any alternative components like transistors, ICs, etc.

Build a PSU with electronic (digital) potentoimeter. Maxim-Dallas produced several types.
