automatic faucet circuit diagram??

hi there ..
do u know the automatic faucet? .. when you put your hands under it the valve will open .. i need to make this faucet at home .. i don't know its sensor .. is it light resistor? .. i know that there are special sensor for it but i hope if i can make it by myself with the normal electronic components .. can anybody help me to find the circuit diagram of this project? ... thanks

You can do it either way: reflective IR-barrier or IR-motion sensor.
