Are there dual RAT cells?

Are there radio cells (base stations) that support both 2G (GSM) and 3G (UMTS, i.e. WCDMA) technologies?

Could it be that in an inter-RAT handover / inter-RAT cell reselection, the MS actually stays registered to the same cell, but moves to a different technology?
