Any PIC controlled THERMIN circuits?

Last week someone posted a Thermin using 2 - 555's, a speaker couple of Cds etc.
Got to wondering if using ADC and/or PWM on a PIC and using the inputs to control the output frequency a Thermin could be built using a PIC.
just curious as come September I plan on visiting with my 4 year old grandson in Washington state.
Now back to my flickering candle and Critter Ridder projects
 
my mistake on spelling

yes the musical instrument that one moves their hands in front of the sensors and the unit changes sound frequency.
