amplifier circuit

I'm doing my project at college and I was wondering if anybody could help me.

I need to build a amplifier circuit for or some tests and I have a circuit but cannot find one of the components, 2N3684.

just wondering if anybody knows of an inequivalent part

A 2N3684 is a junction field-effect transistor with a 50V, 50mA rating.
Most little Jfets have a 25V rating.
In the amplifier will it ever have more than 25V across it?

nope. may reach 20V at max

If 20V is max then you should be able to use any 25V Jfet that has a similar amount of biased current.
Why does the amplifier use a Jfet? Please post its spec's and its schematic.
