Altium question

Hi,

I used Altium a long time ago, I have re-installed it and cannot figure out how to do what appears to be a simple thing!

I have dropped a two SMT IC's on a PCB (no schematic just a blank PCB) and I wanted to simply connect tracks manually, but when I try this it is like it does not want to let me connect to the IC's, when I get to the destination pin it refuses to connect.

I have turned off all rules but it still does not let me!!!!

This is a simple PCB so I didn't want to create a schematic + netlist I just wanted the gerbers.

Thanks

Steve

P.S. I can't even figure out if I can create nets by connecting lines in PCB designer as this would be easy enough, then connect the tracks.

Found it, it's "ignore obstacles"

Tools -> Preferences -> PCB Editor -> Interactive routing -> current Mode

Then select ignore obstacles
