Alternatives to Raspberry Pi

Wanted to make a quick BLE to Wifi gateway. Are there alternatives to Raspberry Pi that can run embedded Linux or Android and have Wifi and BLE for a comparable price or a bit more (sub $100)? To blow the field even wider open - if I wanted to make a BLE to Wifi bridge, there are drivers for the Pi, but there are also super cheap tablets these days that can run Android and so the same thing.

Is the Pi still number 1?

BeagleBone Black Rev C (4G) Single Board Computer - My brother has one of these. I know nothing about it, but he says it's like a Raspberry Pi.

I am using the pcDuino. There are many versions.
I think the beaglebone has the best IO
The pcDuino I have has a hard drive port. So mine is bolted to the back of a mini hard drive.
The PI probably has the best video processing. Get the latest version!

I think there is not that much difference.
Look at forums for each. Choose the one with the best forum help.
