A/D converter

this is 2-bit, i think you could add more though.

You can, but for an n-bit converter, it takes 2^n-1 comparators, e.g., for 8 bits, you need 255 comparators.
The advantage is, it can be very fast if you use fast comparators.

I know its an ADC (Analog Digital conveter) and not DAC (Digital Analog Converter)

You beter find an IC that dose this.Making one togeter yourself will be a huge circuit.

How many bits do you need?
