hi.what should i do to have a 16f628a exactly as 16f84a?am i ok if i have the comparators off or...?

You also need to reassign your RAM variables starting at location 0x20 instead of 0x0C.

Have I left anything out guys?

There used to be a migration document at MicroChip, but that was last century, it seems long gone now

If you check my tutorials they have the correct GPR start addresses, the comparators turned off, and the fuses set correctly for internal oscillator and MCPR as an I/O pin.
