I need to convert a 12V car battery to +/- supplies for a sinewave generator chip. The data sheet says I need 10V - 0v - 10V supplys at 20ma. I'm guessing it wouln't mind 12V but I'm not sure.

The chip I'm using is ICL8038CCPD "Waveform generator".

Any ideas how to do this ?

Thanks,

-Chris

DCDC converter

check out Newport or TRACO very good

Voltage invertor

YOu can use a voltage pump such as a LT1054CN8, made by Linear Technology. If you need a schematic let me know and I can post one for you. When I need them I buy them from Digikey.

:p
One way to do this conversion is figured follow.
I use this one for an audio car amplifier and has working fine.
