120v 60HZ soldring iron can work with 120v 50hz ?

I have brought Weller soldering iron from US. but i want to use it in india .
its rated 120v 60hz.
i am planing to convert 230v to 120v using transformer but frequency will not be changed.
can i use 50hz 120v supply for 120v 60hz soldering iron..?
