1-2 channel radio control?

Does anyone know where i could get a small 1-2 channel radio controller with very good range (a mile+ would be nice). all i need it to do it supply power to two motors(6-9v) or contol relays. a simple 2 button radio is all i need. any one seen one before? i don't mean one for controlling r/c planes, or cars, just a two button remote.

or if anyone knows a schematic for turning the 2-5 mile walkie-talkies into coded transmitters and receivers that would also be nice. still note the two channel. thanks
