ok i have them set up and working. the 4017 is running 5 leds in a back ad forth pattern (nigh rider pattern) my goal is to have this run 5 relays, because the lghts i will be running have to have 12v. the relay will work with 6v+. my problem is when i turn the voltage up over 9v the 4017 goes...

I'm basicly using this except i'm only using one resistor with a switch between the control and ref. and i'm using a 1000ma buckpuck with luxeon III's
6.36V 1.76A from the buckpuck to the leds. I have a switch inbetween the power supple and the buckpuck. if i turn the supply up to 12v then turn the switch on, the led will stay bright for about 10 sec. if i lower the voltage, or turn the switch off and back on the will become bright again.
the leds are mounted on a heat sink. and i used thermal compound to isolate them. the dimming above 9v occurs immediatly, even before the leds have time to heat up. they also did it before i attacked them to the heat sink. I am almost positive they are not overheating.
first off let me say this is not going in a car. Its going on a atv.
I make a headlamp using 4 luxeon III's and a 1000ma buckpuck. by the specs the buckpuck can handle 5-32vdc.
i wired everything up and it works, blindingly!.lol but when i turn my power supply up to around 9-10v the leds...
no sure what bulbs yet. but there are 3 yellow 1 green. yellow on for .5-1sec as soon at the yellow turns on the green turns on with no delay between yellow(off) and green (on)
I need some help. I am making a drag tree. It doesnt have to be perfect. I have everything figured out except one thing. I need to light up 3 bulbs anywere between .5-1 sec then off. when they go off i need one buld to come on and stay on till i reset it. I do not want to have to program a pic...
So i built this amp using the bridged schematic from the datasheet. The amp itself works fine if i run wires to it from an audio sorce (ipod computer ect.). But the original use of this amp is to amplify the sound coming from a bluetooth headset. I'm using a jabra bluetooth that plays music alog...
were can i find out how make/have made a bluetooth component? needs to recieve audio, do phone functions, and be able to connect to a like device for communication.
sorry for the double post. thanks alot for your help. yes they are earphones. i'm integrating the unit inside my helmet so that i don't have to use earbuds. they do produse some bass. they sound similar to noise canceling headphones without the padding.
So am I better off finding lower ohm speakers? Only reason I am using the ones I have is because they are super thin. I believe they are around 5mm. But I'm sure I can find some better. Can someone also suggest a cite about the clipping and such. I don't wanna badger you guys with noob questions
not really tiny. they are similar to these. Thin Square Speaker (Pkg of 2)-The Electronic Goldmine like i said i'm very open to suggestions. Just keep in mind it must fin inside a helmet without feeling it. under the padding
