    Lexmark printers for transparencies?

Thanks for the info, Jeff! I'm afraid not! Those old printers was not "stingy" on the toner, and made "lavished" deposits on media! Newer printers are "environment-friendly", toner particles are finer but with less of pigment. Droplets of water? Too complicated and expensive to me:):)!

    Lexmark printers for transparencies?

I'm pretty sure we are talking about the same paper, jbeng: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tracing_paper I have a package of A4, Made in Germany (?), "Diamant Extra Special", "Natural Tracing Paper". It is 92 g/m^2, and is intended for technical drawings (with fine "Rotring" or similar pens -...

    Lexmark printers for transparencies?

You're right, John, the image does NOT have to be opaque-black, it can be yellow if blocks UV-light! I need printer for both: toner-transfer and photo-method - the common thing for both methods is even, "thick" layer of toner. I could bet, the Brother printers are very good for photo-method, I...

    Lexmark printers for transparencies?

I will ask seller to make some transparency-test on tracing-paper with Lexmark and will see... (Btw. we call tracing-paper here "paus-paper" - it is "milky" transparent paper used in architecture or engineering). I can't ask for the same for LJ1320, because the toner is exhausted (I would have...

    Lexmark printers for transparencies?

Thank you John and KeepItSimple for advices! When I am buying "transparencies" (or OHP-foils) for LASER (or photocopy machines) it is "described" as polyester foils (polyester can withstand 200°C fusing temperature), so I didn't understood fully difference between "transparency film" and...

    Lexmark printers for transparencies?

Nobody? OK, I will reply to myself:(! What about HP LaserJet 1320 ? I've heard all the best about it, but what do you think/know (people who own it) - does it make dark, opaque toner on transparencies for photo-method AND/OR thick and even layer of toner for toner transfer? I can get this...

    Lexmark printers for transparencies?

Hi to all! Sorry if I jumped in a wrong thread! I wonder if anybody has experiences with Lexmark E332N laser printer? I've heard somewhere (and, of course, forgot where) that it makes great prints on transparencies (for PCB making), without stacking two films to get more opaque templates? Is it...

Cheap vacuum pump for vacuum tweezers

    Thanks for useful links!:)

Cheap vacuum pump for vacuum tweezers

Yes, one can modify cheap aquarium pumps, but not all types. Allegedly, newer pumps are not suitable for modifying, but rather some older design diaphragm pumps. I found tons of instructables about that, but I didn't found good enough (for me) solution with cheap pumps - with better (stronger)...

Cheap vacuum pump for vacuum tweezers

Yes! As I heard, many cars from 80's had vacuum pump as "brake assist"! I searched around already, but with no success. Also some "central locking" mechanisms use vacuum (no success with them too).

These pumps look great! I'll try to find one:D! Thank you debe!

Cheap vacuum pump for vacuum tweezers

Thanks Joe G for idea! I try to avoid refrigerator compressor, because it is too big, and I have to make proper housing and isolation from mains. I just need pretty small vacuum for pick-up pen, preferably low voltage pump. But for air-brush or PCB etchant agitation it is worthwhile! With...

Cheap vacuum pump for vacuum tweezers

"Inlet" is located (at least I think so) a little right and down from letters "LTD", but OK. Yes, it is clearly stated that "it can work with water and air", but in communication with other seller - he (or she) claims it can't/shouldn't work with air, and in the title (and description) for...

Cheap vacuum pump for vacuum tweezers

Thanks for reply KeepItSimpleStupid! Smaller (and cheaper) pump, according to drawings, has input port (marked as "Inlet"), as I understand, it should have it as membrane pump. So, you think that second pump can work with air? That's great, 10$ is a big money to me, so I must be 100% sure...

Cheap vacuum pump for vacuum tweezers

Hi! I have <this> cheap pick-up pen, but it doesn't work properly: it loses vacuum quickly so my SMD parts fall off before I reach "destination"; without rubber caps this thing doesn't work at all! So I wonder can I attach small (electric) vacuum pump instead of rubber chamber inside of the...
