I am going to order some round magnets (neo's) as the HDD are not very good for this, I need a larger number of small ones by the look of it, time however is tick tick tick .

Yes makes sense, the coils are sensitive in a change of magnetic field as well as field strength, more of them = more change per rev.

Magnets didnt get here in time!!! So while its a bit irrelevant now I will still do this once they get here, I want to have a go anyway although it will be too late for what I wanted it for.
