Magnetizing a screw driver

OK, David. If you must wind the thing by hand, you might try this. First take a perminant magnet and select the screwdrive that has the most steel (your magnet really sticks to the screwdriver). Now, place the screwdriver in the chuck of a variable speed electric drill and, while a friend runs the drill slowly, feed your magnet wire onto the screwdriver - you'll be at 3000 turns in no time.
 
yes, it is a god idea...
but even if you were to wind 500 turns by hand it wil not take you more than 10-15 minutes......
