any particular reason?
Anyway you prolly want one that has a high lumen output (ie can handle abt 50mA) to get the brightness. Then all you will need is the LED and a burn resistor.

watch rating of the burn resistor
 
Burn resistor? ahhh... is that a limiting resistor or not?
 
yeh same thing as a limiting resistor. just pry the pins out using a tiny screwdriver cut the plastic walls away. solder leds on and cover them with heatshrink to compensate for the missing plastic wall insualtor.

simple.
