Apply the ideal diode model and do the following:
a) Use equivalent circuits to determine the corresponding expression for the output voltage when each diode conducts.
b) Use equivalent circuits to determine the maximum reverse voltage across each diode when not conducting and hence or otherwise specify the diodes’ PIV.
I calculated the peak input voltage to be 12V.
For a) I got
D1 = 8V(p) - Opened D2 and R1 and R3 act as a voltage divider.
D2 = 4V(p) - Opened D1 and R1 and R2 act as a voltage divider.
How do you do b) ?
