Hi folks
I am doing a school project where I need to import a "signal" from the power generator output of a car or motorbike into my laptop through its USB port.
Does anybody know what would be the simplest/cheapest product to achieve this? I imagine that there would be a way to connect the positive and negative coming from the generator into some little PCB that has a USB port on it which then I would plug my laptop into and read the amps generated through some program installed on my laptop.
So, essentially, when the driver revs up the engine and the dynamo charges the battery with more amps, I need to be able to see the amps in my laptop add perhaps even be able to show the exact amps flowing through the car generator. Does that make sense or am I talking crap?
Thanks,
Dinop
