C to HEX help

i have a pic programmer (winpic800) that only uses hex but i am familiar with c so i want to use that but the following programs dont work for some reason:
Sourceboost
microchip ide lab works but i dont know how to use it
ihave a verry limited budget of $0.00 so it would be nice if it was free XD
oh and can you say how to use it?

The problem about computers is they do what you tell them to do not what you want it to do.

You need to compile your source code, be it in ASM or C. The compiler will produce a HEX file, then you tell the programmer software (WinPIC, IC-Prog, etc) to burn the HEX file onto your PIC.
