XR2206 function generator IC unstable when using above 10V supply

It should not be like that, but if you have followed all the posted suggestions I am at a loss to say why its so bad.???

Yes, I can't understand what's up with it. Perhaps dodgy ICs? Got em from eBay

People buy GARBAGE fake ICs on E-bay. Maybe failed "sweepings off the floor" from a manufacturer.
Buy a real IC from a local reputable electronic parts distributor.

I just bought a function generator kit based on this IC. Switched it on, works nicely. Swapped the IC for one of the ones I got off eBay, output is garbage!

Looks like they were fake/reject IC's

The seller also has the MAX038 IC that has been obsolete for years ever since a storm destroyed the place where it was made.
