non-polarized connector plugs into a

The other end of the cable has a North American Type A (NEMA 1-15) Plug. Type A plugs are available in a polarized version, where the neutral prong is wider than the hot prong. This type of
polarized plug is usually used with a
polarized connector on the other end of the cable.
A
non-polarized C7 is usually used (read that as virtually always) used with a
non-polarized Type A (i.e., prongs of equal width) on the other end. In fact, the above picture is the first time I have observed otherwise.
