Spec, remember way back in the '50-'60's, Grunding, (I think I got the spelling right), use to put some "challenging" devices on the market... Every one wanted a Grunding device... Although in current economy, such a device, as I described: (AM/FM/SW, weather radio, and a video player thumb-stick-drive, opposite to CD/DVD, & recorder), would be to expensive, until someone makes it "right".

I wanted to build my own AM/FM/SW, weather radio, and a video player thumb-stick-drive, (opposite to CD/DVD) & recorder to boot!!! Yep, ALL in one... and I have not found this gadget on sale yet, it would probably save me lots of time. Click to expand... (my emphasis) Indeed it would, Simon. And save you a ton of money. The radio portion, plus USB and SMD ports, for instance: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Quantum-...83954&wl11=online&wl12=40170699&wl13=&veh=sem Now the ... video player... Click to expand... is another issue, but as an example: https://www.walmart.com/ip/ONN-7-Portable-DVD-Player-with-Matching-Headphones-and-Bag/51234554 So, your ideas, just not in one box. But both for under $60. Not that far a stretch to assume it'll all be on one chip in the near future... .

Simon822 Member Jul 16, 2016 #43 cowboybob Perfect solution, esteemed friend. Pacing, on the part of "procurer/manufacturer", and up to this point and time I'd say was "sufficient". Also, we are talking about the inventor, "knowledge" that current science offers and perhaps some "lose ends" if you will, a twist in a new direction. After all, these are "toys", entertainment at best, think how disappointed Tesla was, by bringing many discoveries and concepts, before their time, and the rational that went with it, at that time...

A group: https://www.teslasciencecenter.org/ is in the process of restoring his lab. And hopefully, his memory.
