Hi,

Suggest me a control chip or design for a DC-DC buck converter.
Here is the specification.

A search on Digikey would be an excellent start.

Maybe a TI chip, then use TI's design tool.

TPS40061, TPS40060, LM5088, LM5088 External MOSFETs.

TI has 8 parts that will do 5A with internal MOSFETs. very simple. Use two in parallel.
Just form TI.
Dear Sir Ronsimpson,
Thank you for your feedback.

Just for make sure, this should have following,

.OVR protection
OCR protection
"ENABLE" Signal
"FAULT" signal
1 LED indication.

The newer chips offers a lot of options.
