Looking for a kit or circuit design

I need to monitor the water temp of an outdoor wood burner wirelessly.

I bought a Grill Right Wireless BBQ/Oven Thermometer, Oregon AW-131 that worked fairly well, but it had some drawbacks. The transmitter has an 8 hour auto power off. Once it auto powers off, you have to go through a reset procedure to "restart" it. I need to monitor 24-7. Also, it went haywire and started displaying incorrect temp by + 60 deg F.

I would like to build a unit from scratch.
I would like to power the transmitter circuit with a 12 vdc supply,
monitor temps 32°F to 572°F
Transmit wireless up to 100'
build a receiver circuit that would display temp on an LCD display, and power the receiver/ display unit with 3.2vdc

Does anyone know of a kit or a source for a schematic?

Any info appreciated....

Thanks
