Manufacturing requires a lot of capital and will become all robotic.
Repairing is trending to be come impossible as more manufacturers want people to replace instead of repair (reduces cost too, to make it unrepairable).
So, neither

Manufacturing would be the most profitable.
Repair is only really profitable for specialized equipment an NOT for consumer goods with the exception of warranty depots.
