hey all.

Im looking for a 14 bit binary counting IC circuit that can be programed using a 14-bit dip switch to count up to the preset value on a dip switch and then reset the count and output a square pulse.

does anyone have any ideaz

any help would be excellent

Cheers electroman

You should be able to figure that out for yourself. Start with a 14-bit counter, compare each output bit to a zero or a one from the dip switch, use a logical OR function to combine all the comparisons to a high or a low for counter RESET as appropriate and your done. Simple Eh?

A starting point would be to look at the 74LS193, get the datasheet from the web.
Its a 4 Bit, UP/DN cntr with preset inputs
