What kind of algorithem would you use to ?

i recently bought a 315 mhz tx rx pair. The output is extremely noisey during idle time. I want to send a simple byte at 2400 baud. What type of algorithem should I use to filter out all the noise? I am using a 16f684 and assembler to decode the signal. The noise has both short and long spikes, but when the tx is on the output looks great.
