Is there a better VR that I should be looking at that might be a similar size? Thanks! SF EDIT: FWIW, the voltage coming into the VR is ~15 volts. Last edited: Mar 6, 2010

Boncuk New Member Mar 6, 2010 #2 Hi, your regulator just gets to about 60deg/C. It has to dissipate 1.26W and I consider gaining that temperature being normal. You might reduce the input voltage to 9V at which it has to dissipate ~500mW. Boncuk
