USB Interface MCP2200 with Visual Basic

Can i interface mcp2200 with Visual Basic?Is it like normal serial port interface?Is it just click the 'Serial Port' from tool box and code like normal serial port code?

Looks like it!!! seems to be a conventional virtual serial port but with spare eeprom and GPIO's...

I might buy one... At the moment I use this..https://proto-pic.co.uk/ftdi-basic-breakout-3-3v-new/ .. They work great and I use it through VB6...
