Am using PIC16F877A microcontroller. I want to transfer serially a set of bits to TXREG.

Do I really need to use interrupt service routine to check whether TXIF is set to 1 or not?

Or how can I do polling? Help!!!

No you can do polling - check my tutorials (the last one of the RS232 tutorial) for details.

It's as simple as:
Code:
while(!TMRT);
TXREG=Data_Out;
