ups help !

i brought a ups from my brother and i used it in 6 months,But yesterday i can't use it.:confused:i don't no what happens when electricity failure ups not holding the current automatically ups offed.
please...anyone can tell me what to do, i need to know it is battery problem or another thing :confused:
