Upgrade Circuit Breaker of Fuse?

Hi all,

We recently discussed putting circuit breakers on my boat next to each battery x 2. As the starter draws 200 amps we decided to put 2 x fuses or C. breakers for that amount.

However, we have also discussed this week that the engine has an element heater in the air intake, I have now sorted the switching for that but it draws 33 amps.

This means that during the start up process there could be 233 amps being drawn, so I suppose I should up the fuses or CB's to 250amps?

What do you think please?

I think I'm being stupid here.

If I connect the heater to the "House circuit" and battery and not the "Starter circuit" with a separate cable from the House battery, I can leave the 200 amp fuse /CB as before and just fuse the 33 amp heater circuit.

I think I have answered my own question here?
