These sink and source drivers have about a 0.5A max load.

Can they be successfully paralleled with matching units to produce incremental loads of 1A, 1.5A etc?
 
The total package cannot handle more than 2.4A. That is to say you can't have more than 5 outputs pulling 0.5A .

I don't think that it will load share perfectly but close. I believe two outputs should not drive 1.0A but three outputs will handle 1.2A? Or two outputs can handle 0.9A. This is just a feeling, no proof. If you load share do not mix different parts. Share with in the same part!
