Hi,

What is an easy way to transmit some bytes (possibly text) from 1 PIC to another wirelessly? I don't need fast speed, perhaps 1200bps or even slower will do. I am trying to find some cheap FM transceiver chips and use them to transmit/receive RS-232 data using the PIC UART module but can't find any.

Thanks, I have had a look, but the tutorial does not explicitly specify or recommend which RF modules to use. Any recommendations for cheap modules is appreciated.

It specifies the ones I used, didn't you check the hardware page?.

But it should work with any similar modules, just check the voltage requirements.

Thanks Nigel. I missed your hardware page. I was looking at the tutorial page and download the ZIP file of the tutorials only. Will try to look for these RF modules in my local electronics shop.

It looks to be OK.
