Hero999 Banned Mar 20, 2010 #2 2N2907 and 2N2222 which are PNP and NPN respectively. The pinouts will be opposite, check the datasheet if you're unsure.

Hero999 Banned Mar 20, 2010 #4 They're both NPN which is fine to replace the BC547 with but you need PNP to replace the BC556/7 with.
