TMR0 PIC16F84A Simulator

When my code runs in the PIC16F84A simulator TMR0 is never incremented. I have tried configuring TMR0 as both a counter and timer, yet it always stays 0. However the same code when compiled for the PIC12C508A runs properly in the simulator (TMR0 increments as it should).

Any insight would be appreciated!
