This switch must simply turn on momentarily every 5 seconds or whatever I set it to, so it switches on a circuit to trigger a solenoid every 5 seconds or so.

Thank you, any help would be appreciated.

Thats a prettty simple task. Using a 555 timer chip is probably the most popular choice, there are many circuits if you use google search. However one would have to know the voltage and current requirements of the solenoid before designing a complete circuit.

hi lefty

I would say that the solenoid voltage would be 6 volts current i dont know 80 watts maybe. Guess a 555 timer chip will work for me. I'll look into it. Thank you.

could you pick out a timing switch on the internet that would work good for me? I know thats asking a lot but Im desperate.

Thanks,
