Hi,

Alpha is the ratio of collector current to emitter current, or

a=Ic/Ie

so if you do the math you can get the answer.

determine Ic of a transistor when Ie = 9.35 and alpha = 0.96 ? a=Ic/Ie so a*Ie = 0.96x9.35x10^-3 = Ic = 8.98mA
