I've stumbled upon the NUD4001 current driver. I've chosen to do some experimenting with that, since it seems simple enough to use. The only thing I need to find now is a PWM device that is efficient so I'm not wasting too much power. I do not have a specific application yet, other than some dimmable wall-washing LED strips for above kitchen cabinets. Future projects will be battery powered or AC-DC power-supplies used. Any suggestions would be helpful.

:)
Thanks in advance,
Patrick

Simplest PWM circuit is a 555 timer setup as a sawtooth generator into a simple comparator. Vary the comparison voltage to vary the duty cycle.
