Could someone please help me with the logic circuit required to drive a 3 volt 10ohm motor in a forward direction only via this IC

Look at the first line of the truth table...It tells what pins need to be hi/lo to make the motor go forward......

You need two switches as shown, - one connected to pins 4,5 and one to pins 12,13

So the Pins need to be switched to cause the motor to run and the speed depends on the rate of switching?

Using switches will send the motor at full Vcc speed.

If you want to control the motor speed then you have to use PWM or something similar - a way of sending switched pulses to the Driver chip.

Searching this forum on Stepper Motor Drivers will give you a better idea - a popular combination is the L297 logic chip with the L293/8 drivers

How do I use this photo interrupter circuit (without relay) to pull pins 12/13 (in12/22) low when beam blocked and high when beam not blocked.
