I have been using the free version of LTSpice & want to upgrade to Visual Spice maybe just the basic version for now.

Is Visual Spice a good design & simulation program, it seems reasonably priced?
Has it got all up to date component selection etc?

Any advice would be appreciated.

SPICE simulators

If you are looking for a free SPICE simulator, CircuitLogix is the best there is. Not only does CircuitLogix do mixed-mode SPICE simulation (analog and digital) but it also allows you to simulate microprocessor operations and perform graphical language programming.
